Performers
Georgia Fewchuk
Georgia, grade 9, started her journey into show business at dance, which she has been training in for the past 11 years. She performed as “Gingy” in the Oliver Elementary School production of Shrek, the Musical Jr. and as Maui in Moana, the Musical Jr. These experiences, plus a recent vocal performance in a local drag show, have affirmed for Georgia her love of singing.
Liam Posch
Grade 11 student Liam is a passionate piano and guitar player who has performed in SOSS musical productions of Footloose and Rock of Ages, as well as Christmas Chaos 2025. Liam continues to expand his musical skills and develop his band, Tombstone of Existence.
Elliot Bousfield: “Messa Piece”
Messa Piece was born from the heart of their creator as a manifestation of their inner self. They began performing at 3 years old in dance and found their love of the stage. Dance continued throughout childhood including competitions. Starting high school, they discovered they could be creative in more ways and began to experiment with makeup and wigs and also found their love of art. This led them to drag workshops and Messa Piece (A play on the word Masterpiece) was born with the idea that no matter what nothing is perfect and even something crazy can be beautiful.
Fanilo Andrianasolo
We’re delighted to see Fanilo, grade 12, return one last time to the stage again for Rising Stars. A multi-instrumental musician and vocalist, Fanilo has had the opportunity to perform a variety of venues, including the Philip T. Young Recital Hall at the University of Victoria. She has done both solo and choir accompaniment performances on piano.
Abbygail Wolfe
16 year-old Abbygail Wolfe is back for her third year of Rising Stars, after recently starring in the 2026 SOSS production of Rock of Ages in the role of Anita Bath. Musical theatre has been a passion of Abby’s for the past seven years. When Abby isn’t singing or participating in theatre, she’s a highly active athlete in volleyball and ultimate frisbee.
Gavin Baerg
Gavin, grade 9, has been playing guitar for the past two years. He’s also been involved in the SOSS musical production of Footloose and more recently, Rock of Ages, in the role of Franz. Gavin has enjoyed performing music in front of audiences from a young age; he’s also involved in a number of sports teams at SOSS.
Leo Rodriguez
Grade 12 student Leo Rodriguez seems to be able to simply pick up an instrument and make magic happen. Whether playing electric guitar, piano, or drums, Leo’s musicality shines as he plays with heart and dedication.
Henna Brar
Grade 11 student Henna Brar has been a dancer for the past 11 years, and she has had a love of acting from a very young age. Two years ago, Henna discovered her love of singing and she has performed in the past three SOSS musical productions. Henna is also a passionate athlete who plays volleyball, soccer and, just recently, golf!
Ezra Toon
Grade 11 student Ezra Toon taught himself piano at age 12 and, over the past 5 years, has also learned how to play guitar and bass. He is lead vocalist and bassist for Mudrats, who have become local performing legends over the past two years. Ezra has taken on starring roles in SOSS musicals and showcase assemblies for the past four years. Ezra expects that music will continue to be big part of his future after he graduates next year.
Silas McAllister
Guitarist and vocalist Silas McAllister is an essential member of Mudrats, but he is also a performer in his own right whose impressive instrumental and vocal talents are not to be missed.
Rocky Toon
For grade 12 student Rocky Toon, music has been about commitment and the courage to step outside his comfort zone. As the drummer for Mudrats, he has performed multiple gigs and festivals, including a recent show at Frank Venables Theatre—an experience that reflects both. Over the past three years, Rocky has shown remarkable growth and confidence as a live performer Most notably, he stepped out from behind the drum kit and into the spotlight this year as Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages. He looks forward to singing on stage alongside his best friend, guitarist Leo Pedersen, who will be performing for the very first time.
Leo Pedersen
Guitarist and grade 12 student Leo Pedersen makes his debut performance alongside Rocky Toon. An old soul inspired by everything from blues and hard rock, Leo plays with ferocious attention to detail.
Edwin Lee
Busting out from Mudrats and Spillway, grade 11 student Edwin Lee has impressed audiences with his guitar prowess for the past three years. More recently, Edwin has developed his love of vocals, which we’re excited to hear more of at Rising Stars.
Spillway:
Spillway is an indie/alternative rock band that combines the collective creativity and talents of its lead vocalist and guitarist Tommy Atkinson, guitarist and backing vocalist Edwin Lee, bassist Anthony Pearle, and drummer Payton Jones. They strive to break new ground by writing and performing original songs. Both Tommy and Edwin draw from their experience as members of Mudrats, and channel their passion for making music into Spillway.
