Venables Alive! Local Artist Series Presents – The Crossley Crawford Group

The Crossley Crawford Group has been together since 2015, performing to sold out shows at “Jazz at Zias,” Penticton’s Dream Cafe, the Vernon Jazz Club, and the Ryga Arts Centre, as well as playing for The Venables Alive series. 

Their show is a fun mix of jazz standards with a twist and originals with an old-school feel, penned by local jazz legend, Larry Crawford. The arrangements are brought to life by Yanti’s amazing vocals, backed by Stefan Bienz, a bass player in demand and Allan Crossley’s lyrical piano. Joining the lineup for this concert is trombonist Chris Manuel, who has performed and toured extensively with many professional productions. 

They have recorded two CD’s of original jazz and vocal jazz tunes: Images of You (2017) and Right Where We Belong, (2018) Their third album, So Many Memories was just released this past November and this concert will feature many of those tunes.
