The Meadowlark Nature Festival is pleased to announce this year’s Rendezvous Evening keynote speaker, Laura Lynch.The doors open at 5:30 and Laura Lynch, host of CBC’s “What on Earth” will offer us her insights into climate recovery and restoration in the theatre at 7:30. If you are unfamiliar with Laura’s work, you can listen to podcasts of her shows at https://www.cbc.ca/radio/whatonearth. Tickets for the Rendezvous include a drink ticket, our awesome appetizer buffet, a wonderful silent auction, and Laura’s presentation. After Laura’s presentation, the winning bidders’ names will be announced and those lucky people can collect their winnings, (cash and credit cards accepted).For this year’s Rendezvous, those in Penticton who are not comfortable with the drive to Oliver can sit back and relax and leave the driving to us. The Meadowlark Festival have organized a bus to take you to Venables Theatre and back from the Walmart parking lot in Penticton. The bus departs Penticton at 5:00pm sharp and returns, leaving the theatre at 9:00 pm. There is a nominal charge of $10.00 for this return trip. The bus tickets are available on the Meadowlark website at www.meadowlarkfestival.ca.The Meadowlark Nature Festival has been celebrating the coming of spring since 1998. This year’s festival will open with a movie night on Thursday May 15th focusing on restoration and recovery.
