QUAIL’S NEST OPEN HOUSE Sunday, May 24, 2026 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Our doors will be open for displays, demonstrations, sales, promotion, information booths, arts activities, entertainment and general fun! This is your chance to show off what you do and let Oliver know how exciting our arts and culture community is! The cost is FREE to members. All member groups and businesses are invited to set up a booth FREE of charge with a 2026 membership. Please consider providing a raffle item for the OCAC door prize! This helps offset the cost of the event, and draws visitors to the OCAC table for more information about the arts council and its members. You may choose to have your own door prize.
Here are ways to make your booth exciting and attention-getting:
• Have interactive arts projects: colouring pages, simple “make and take” crafts
• Demonstrate your art or craft: spin, show a video, sketch, mock rehearsal
• Allow visitors to perform: try on costumes, sing along, try a musical instrument
• Show works in progress: backstage tour, display sheet music, join in script reading or improv games, demonstrate unfinished art, display art materials
• Sell items: art cards, crafts, accessories, books, tickets
• Prepare giveaways: balloons, pens, coupons, business cards, brochures
• Hold a draw for a gift certificate, event tickets, or product basket
• Registration for classes and memberships We are planning live music on site, a photo booth, children’s activities, and food service. We will also publicize the event.
Displays can be indoors or outdoors but space inside is limited. Outdoor marquee areas will allow larger display space but may require a tent. We will try to accommodate your preferences for space, but willingness to be flexible (e.g. having an optional tent) will maximize the number of participants we can include. Please complete the entry form by May 16th. We will prioritize groups and businesses first, and will confirm individual member entries following, or assign space for other activities.
