Kick off Pig Out Festival weekend with a fun and interactive dinner on Friday May 1st, 2026 at Sweetgrass Restaurant where Chef Shawn Cheer welcomes guest Chef Javier Blanc of Vancouver’s Casa Molina alongside Canadian Butcher team member, Ronnie Keely and BC’s inaugural Best Butcher Michael Hecken. Together, they’ll serve a multi-course, locally sourced, family-style feast paired with wines from local vineyards. Guests can watch live cooking and butchery demonstrations while enjoying sweeping vineyard views.  It’s the perfect start to an unforgettable weekend of food, wine and celebration

Pig Out Festival Weekend Returns May 1st – 3rd, 2026 

Local, guest chefs and BC’s top butchers will unite to showcase their many talents. Join us May 2nd at Cellar Door and More for an afternoon featuring the region’s award-winning wineries, special craft beverage guests, delicious culinary creations, live theatre, artisan market and engaging demonstrations.

This elegant yet relaxed outdoor setting for attendees to uncork together will be an entertaining afternoon. This year’s theme Let’s Feast” will be at the very root of all the festivities ranging from winery station themes to unique culinary menu twists, family activities and more.

The star of the show? All things protein. Talented chefs will be stationed throughout the location, preparing delectable pork-themed dishes. Expect a colorful celebration of the diverse food and culture of the Okanagan. Picnic the old-fashioned way and enjoy an afternoon of interactive samplings of award-winning wines, craft beverages from around the region, family activities and culinary delights.

Note: Ticketholders will receive details by email in advance of the event.  All ticket holders will be on a guest list at the entrances. Your confirmation is your proof of ticket purchase.

Transportation: Pick up locations and times will be shared closer to the event. Transportation ticket holders will receive an email closer to the date of the event.

We are always forging new relationships and bringing passionate, talented partners together, 2026 will not be the exception. In having the opportunity to work with BC Meats for BC families and BC’s Best Butcher Competition for the 2026 Pig Out – Let’s Feast, butchers and chefs will unite to create memorable culinary experiences.  The craft and passion of butchery goes hand in hand with culinary, the two coming together will bring magic to any dish.  This collaboration ensures that this event is focussing on supporting the farmers, butchers, retail outlets, chefs and restaurants in BC.
