Join us for the 27th Annual Festival of the Grape, the cornerstone event of Oliver’s Wine Capital Weekend! This outdoor, family-friendly celebration attracts over 4,500 people annually and offers an unforgettable experience in Canada’s Wine Capital.

This year’s festivities include:

Join us for the 27th annual Festival of the Grape, an event that promises to be stronger and better than ever! Taste 100’s of local and regional wines, indulge in mouth-watering food truck fare, experience the chaotic Grape Stomp, shop for artisan wares at the Merchant Market, dance to live local music, and more as we celebrate the grape and the best of BC wine!

The Oliver Tourism Association, along with a dedicated committee and a team of volunteers, is proud to bring back our most celebrated festival here in Canada’s Wine Capital and the South Okanagan.

Attracting an estimated 4,500 attendees annually, this family-friendly one-day festival offers something for everyone!

The Grape Stomp Competition!
Be part of or witness the chaos as you cheer on one of 30 teams in the popular Grape Stomp Competition, presented by Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country! This beloved event welcomes teams of three, who are encouraged to dress in crazy and wacky costumes, as they compete to crush as many fresh local grapes as they can into juice with their toes. The top six teams will compete in a final heat for bragging rights and prizes for the top three teams.

Welcoming Ceremonies
The Festival of the Grape begins with a welcoming ceremony. Dignitaries from the region will welcome you to the Town of Oliver and the traditional Okanagan Nation Territory. Then, we announce the opening of the wine tasting tents, and the experience begins.

Explore, Enjoy & Be Entertained!
After the welcome, start exploring the festival grounds. Cheer on the costume judging at the Grape Stomp stage prior to the first heat, stroll through the Merchant Market looking for unique artisan wares. Visit one of the many food trucks for delicious bites, and sample from a cornucopia of BC wines. Meanwhile, the kids can enjoy the interactive Kids Zone with games, crafts, and inflatables to keep them entertained.
