The Jazz Implication

May 23 @ 8:00 pm

Firehall Brewery and Respect Record & Skate are proud to present… The Jazz Implication! With an opening set by Crashlanders.

The Jazz Implication is a high-energy instrumental group that fuses jazz harmony and composition with an electrifying modern sound. They are proud members of the Salmon Arms music scene. Led by Liam Nadurak (trumpet, piano, composer), the band features Jordan Dick (guitar), Dan Smith (guitar), Jake McIntyre-Paul (bass), and Will Friesen (drums). Together, they craft dynamic, improvisation-driven performances that push the boundaries of contemporary jazz.

Since their inception, The Jazz Implication has been lighting up stages across the interior of BC, with standout performances at Slopeside Festival, Caetani Festival, and Lilly Fest. Their debut EP, Volume One, is available on all streaming platforms, as well as Volume Two, which continues to evolve their energetic and adventurous sound.

Crashlanders is Gustave Savignac (vocals, guitar), Jake O’Brien (keys), Tommy Trottier (drums), and Laurent Jarry (bass). Originally from the Okanagan, the project was based on the idea to make one release and play one show; however, that’s far from what ended up happening. Having since made a name for themselves in Montreal with their signature blend of soul/r&b, the band captivates audiences with a uniquely electric love letter to 70’s giants like Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross – influenced by many styles, they are inspired to make music both classic and unforgettable.
