DESCRIPTION:Murder is back in the vineyard! \n\nJoin us for River Stone’s Second Annual Murder Mystery on Saturday\, October 24th from 2–6pm. Follow the clues\, examine the evidence\, question the suspects and sip your way through the vineyard as you work to solve the case. But be warned… not everyone can be trusted. \n\nAlong the vineyard trail\, you’ll encounter the Lead Investigator\, Coroner and Psychological Consultant at evidence and wine tasting stations. Suspects will be lurking throughout the vineyard and tasting garden\, ready for questioning\, though whether they tell you the truth is another matter entirely. \n\nBefore the event\, you’ll receive an electronic dossier filled with information to get you up to speed on the case. Gather the evidence\, piece together your theory and submit your findings for a chance to win the grand prize! \n\nAfter the investigation\, stick around for live music by Dynamic Duo\, featuring atmospheric jazz\, blues and spooky 1920s hits. Tak-Oh Mexican Food Truck will also be onsite with tasty bites for purchase\, alongside wine by the glass. \n\nTickets\n\nGeneral Public: $30 + taxWine Club Members: $25 + tax (maximum 2 tickets at club rate) \n\nTickets also include a keepsake engraved wine glass. Tickets are limited. DESCRIPTION:About the Performance\n\nWater Words is a poetic theatre performance for young audiences that blends storytelling\, puppetry\, object theatre\, and live music to explore our relationship with water. \n\n​Two friends\, Mamby and Hélène\, live worlds apart: one in Senegal and the other in Canada. They both have burning feet\, one from hot sand\, the other from winter boots. Water separates them. One lives where there is an abundance of water\, snow\, and ice\, while the other must search for water and carry it home in buckets. \n\n​“MAMBY: I think that water carries everything we say. Water understands all languages.” \n\n​The main character is water\, a precious liquid that is scarce in many places. Before our eyes\, Hélène and Mamby give life and language to water in its many forms: spring water\, well water\, salt water\, rainwater\, and more. They give voice to the challenges\, fears\, frustrations\, and worries that come with both the lack and abundance of water\, taking us from the Sahel region in West Africa to North America.

Alongside these macro issues is a window on the daily trials of a technologically compromised ADHD addled adult\, who came of age in a day when a ‘hash tag’ was something you got after getting too close to the hash knives! In this crucial period of our lives\, when everything feels so desperate\, when each day is a question of survival\, I believe we cannot do anything but mobilize.” \n\nThese words\, spoken by the incredible human and artistic force Nina Simone\, resonate today with a striking relevance. All the Madmen is conceived as a concert where the voices of some of the most influential artists in history resonate with the audience. We bring to the stage artists who\, through their ideologies\, convictions\, and strength of character\, were marginalized in their own time: “Are they all mad?” The works featured in the program are enriched with poems\, texts\, and anecdotes\, allowing the abstract power of music to create a space for emotion\, release\, and collective reflection. \n\nThis program builds a bridge between past and present\, celebrating visionary artists who sought\, through music\, to transform the world. Their works\, born in troubled times\, reflect deep convictions and powerful commitment. From Hasta Siempre by Carlos Puebla in 1965 to the innovative tangos of Piazzolla and Borges\, from the musical defiance of Nina Simone to the boldness of David Bowie in All the Madmen\, and the universal plea of Pau Casals in 1971\, these creations bear the mark of hope and resistance. Long before them\, Beethoven already dreamed of equality and universality through his works. As artists today\, we continue this pursuit by commissioning bold new works from composers around the world\, inspired by this legacy.
