DESCRIPTION:Stephen Ridley LIVE in the Plaza | First Canadian Show!\nStephen Ridley was born in a small village of 40 people in the North Of England. He started playing the piano at 2 years old and received a scholarship into one of the best academic schools in the country. He then graduated with a triple first class honours in Philosophy\, Politics and Economics from a top university and got a job at a top investment bank. \nQuickly realizing he was unsatisfied\, he spontaneously quit his job\, pushed an old upright piano into the middle of the street and started playing (less than 1 hour after being at his desk). He had no idea what he was doing. At the end of his first song\, Stephen turned around and saw hundreds of people blocking the streets. Moved\, he decided he was going to follow his dream of making it as an artist\, and this would start by simply putting beauty into the world without reservation. \nIn the years that followed\, he started to become well known with the world’s super rich\, who were hiring him for their private soirees. At the same time\, he grew enormous popularity in Russia and Eastern Europe\, having hit songs on radio and TV\, and playing more than 400 shows. He started to attract major brands\, playing at the opening of Monaco Grand Prix in 2022 with Gulfstream\, as well as multiple shows for Louis Vuitton\, Omega\, and Krug Champagne. Then came COVID. Stephen took to social media\, doing 6 hours of live content streaming on Instagram every day. He grew from 8\,000 followers to 560\,000 followers in a year. His videos received over 200 million views\, and suddenly he realized he could actually do this. \nHis concerts are more than entertainment\, they’re often described as a spiritual experience. He is a true artist\, and has a way to tell the stories of our lives in a way that reflects back who we are\, and aspire to be. A unique performer. Ferociously dynamite on the piano\, barefoot\, dripping in sweat.

SUMMARY:Cars for a Cause (Area 27)
DESCRIPTION:The Cars for a Cause event has luxury cars donated by Area 27 members to provide the chance for thrill seekers to have a co-pilot experience. This experience includes time to meet the certified driver\, admire the chosen sports car\, and buckle up for adrenaline pumping laps around the track.\nThe event takes place on Thursday\, July 20\, and all proceeds from the event go toward the Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society (OSNS) Legacy Foundation. There will also be go-karting races taking place at the Kartplex\, and lunch served by Crave Creative Kitchen. Interested car lovers can also register their luxury\, vintage\, classic\, hot rod\, muscle\, and imported vehicles to the Show and Shine segment of the event for people to admire when they are not on the track. Registration for the Show and Sine is limited to 130 vehicles and 100 per cent of the registration fees will also be donated to the OSNS Legacy Foundation. \nTo sign up or register your vehicle go to area27.ca and click the link to book or register.
