Following a series of GSM mini events throughout the spring and summer\, the culmination of the release of this wine will be an outdoor concert on July 20th! \nHester Creek is proud to present Mocking Shadows\, a lively Canadian band that has been entertaining crowds for over 25 years with their own brand of soul\, R&B\, reggae\, ska\, and even a little blues. They have developed an energetic and authentic sound that not only packs the dance floor\, but also satisfies the most discerning music fans. \nSaturday\, July 20th ~ 6:30 – 9:30pm\nGuests are welcome to start arriving at 6:00pm. This is a 19+ event with limited tickets available and no pets permitted. Outside food and alcoholic beverages not permitted. \nLawn Tickets ~ General Admission $50 per person\, plus tax\nOffering some of the best views of the stage\, Hester Creek invites you to bring your picnic blanket and settle in for a spectacular evening. Together with Denise’s husband\, Jamie\, Anarchist Mountain’s Deputy Fire Chief\, our bass player and vocalist\, we created Double Stop Creek. Our love of music brought us together and helped us persevere through tragic personal loss when Jamie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on New Year’s day of 2019. Making the decision to “play on” and to continue on our musical path has been a balm to the heart and ‘soule’. We hope you enjoy our music … put your cares away and join us on our journey …

Shifting from powerful cries to gentle invitations\, Ian brings you through the full depth of their experience. In the past two years\, Ian Van der Wee has completed two independently managed cross-country tours\, released a series of soaring and intimate singles\, and is currently in the midst of an ambitious dual-album project: producing two sets of recordings of the same songs with wildly different arrangements. \nLong Call: Long Call is alt-folk/indie rock sibling duo Avalon and Landen Moore. A queer ex-therapist and a relatively tall ex-farmer\, Long Call played their first live show in the spring of 2022\, and since then they’ve been performing to growing audiences in bars\, backyards\, living rooms\, and theatres across the country and at home in Halifax. This year Long Call is releasing their debut album Everything Will Be Alright song by song alongside the music videos from their accompanying self-produced visual album. SUMMARY:Plein Air Painting Workshop (Osoyoos Desert Centre)
DESCRIPTION:Join celebrated artist Dale Matthews in the iconic Antelope-brush landscape of the Osoyoos Desert Centre. Dale will demonstrate a wash technique\, drawing into a painting\, and various methods using frisket\, plastic cards\, knives\, and sticks. \n​Dale Matthews\, FCA was born in 1938 in Rossland\, BC. From an early age Dale preferred drawing and painting the mountains to digging gold from them. He completed high school in Rossland before attending the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University of Art + Design)\, receiving a degree in fine art in 1961. \n\n\n​Dale worked as a commercial artist and architectural renderer in Toronto and Edmonton before establishing his own interior design firm in Vancouver. He is now retired and living in Summerland\, where he is happy to devote his time to painting and traveling. His paintings reflect his love and passion for the outdoors as well as the heritage architecture of the west. Western artists such as Charlie Russell and William Matthews have been a great inspiration to him. Dale’s work has been exhibited at the National Gallery\, Ottawa; Deep Cove Gallery\, North Vancouver; Seymour Art Gallery; Vancouver Art Gallery; Summerland Art Gallery; Spruce Meadows\, Calgary; Tumbleweed Gallery\, Penticton; and the Penticton Art Gallery. His paintings are enjoyed in a number of private collections throughout Canada and the US. \n\n\nALL SKILL LEVELS AND MEDIUMS ARE WELCOME. To register call the office at 250-495-2470.
