DESCRIPTION:The Legends Of Country Guitar show takes the listener on a voyage back to a time when country guitar was as much twang as it was smooth. The electric guitar was brand new and creativity soared. At the pinnacle of both guitar and Country Music was Chet Atkins. His influence on guitar is still heavily prevalent on guitarists. Chet also managed RCA Records in Nashville Tennessee where he singed artists and produced songs that made Country Music what it is today. \n\nJoin Dave Barber and his band as they performs the music of the early influences on Country guitar such as the Jazz of Django Reinhardt\, the main players such as Merle Travis\, Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins. Also paying tribute to artists that Chet Atkins influenced\, gave record deals and produced hits for artists like Dolly Parton\, Elvis Presley and Waylon Jennings to name a few. \n\nDave Barber has won British Columbia country music awards andCanadian Gospel Music Awards. He has also been nominated for Canadian Country Music Awards\, Western Canadian Music Awards as well as Juno’s through work of his own and various work with artists. Dave has also had the honour of being the guitarist for artists such as The Chieftains\, Colin James\, Heidi Newfield (Trick Pony)\, Barney Bentall\, and The High Bar Gang to name a few.
