SUMMARY:Memorable Wine Tours Saturdays (Nostalgia Wines)
DESCRIPTION:Join Nostalgia Wines for a Memorable Wine Tour on Saturdays from mid-June to mid-September. A Brand Ambassador will lead you on this hour-long tour of Nostalgia’s property\, vineyard\, and cellar. \nThe tour begins at 11:00am in the picnic area\, where you’ll enjoy a scenic view of South Okanagan\, while enjoying your first wine sample. You’ll learn more about the BC wine industry and the unique history of Nostalgia Wines. From there\, you’ll take a walk to check out more of the property and learn about 14.5-acre vineyard and our approach to farming\, while sampling a second wine. You’ll try a third sample while taking a peek into the winery to learn more about how our wines are made. The tour will finish in their seated lounge with a couple more samples and there will be plenty of time for questions. \nCheese and charcuterie options may be added at this time – let the winery know in advance if you’d like to add this option (additional fee). \nMinimum 24 hours advanced notice needed for reservations. Guests must be 19+ to join. Reservations are non-refundable. If you can’t make your reservation and give us 48 hours notice\, we will try to accommodate you on another date. Please note that this experience is a group tour of up to 12 guests\, and you may be combined with other parties. Come and make your own water marbled silk scarf. Each workshop begins with a demonstration\, where you will learn and experience this artform. Each artist chooses their colours and floats the paint one drop at a time on the surface of the water. Then uses marbling combs\, rakes\, or stylus to create the design of their liking. Then they will print your finished design onto a silk scarf for you to take home and wear. No experience required. If you can sprinkle cheese on a pizza\, or write your name with a pencil you can make magic with us!\nTickets include all supplies to make your silk scarf and a glass of wine. We consist of keys\, saxophone/flute\, bass and drums. We play an assortment of originals and some standards with our own flavors and twists. Our playing style is heavily improvised and riddled with pockets. We throw down dancey funk\, grungy ambient jazz as well as some soulful ballads.”\nDejan Nadj’s experienced drumming is super intuitive\, dynamic\, detail oriented and impressive to watch. Matthew Winlaws’s bass playing both inspires and supports with solid grooves that hit so good. Andy Fisher plays the keys as he leads the group through the grooviest of chord progressions on his Nord Electro with serious style and skill. On tenor sax (among other woodwinds) Christine Chartrand’s playing style is not only melodic and atmospheric but her stage presence anchors the group and helps connect the audience to the music.\nEntry by donation.
