DESCRIPTION:Presented by shameless hussy productions & Desert Sun Counselling Centre\n\nFollowing a college girl on a night out\, moving back and forth from bedroom to bar scenes\, one actress plays 16 characters\, both comic and dramatic. Night turns to morning\, and “Anygirl” awakens from her ordeal as a disoriented yet brave survivor. This show is designed to provoke thought and dialogue around date rape and consent\, ultimately challenging our thinking and behaviour surrounding alcohol\, drugs and sexual assault. Dissolve has toured North America for the past decade. Last fall this show played 42nd Street in New York and now it’s here!\n\n“Anygirl’s anger translates into energy and spot-on satire… the characters funny and recognizable… a rewarding show.” The Vancouver Sun\n\n“In all my years as an educator (25 years) I have never seen a more powerful presentation. There is a tremendous need for this type of education in schools today.” Jay Prepchuk – Counseling Department Head\, Handsworth Secondary School.\n\nWith a mandate of “telling provocative stories about women to inspire the hand that rocks the cradle to rock the world” Vancouver’s shameless hussy productions puts herstory to the forefront.
